Stephen King

I recommend any book written by Stephen King. The Dark Tower series is particularly genius. I've read almost every book written by him. I can't list any favorites though, because for one thing, I've been reading them since 10th grade. Also, I've never once been disappointed by one of his books, I love them all.

If you are a person that likes to read minute detail Stephen King is great. If you are person like me that wants the storyline immediately then King is not the author for you. Now, I love his movies. I have seen everyone that has been produced, but his books bore the hell out of me. I have to be able to get into the book within the first two chapters. If I can't find the story line by that time the book is done

Another author that is GREAT in my opinion is Pierce Anthony.. If you like fun fantasty, he is the one to read (lots of puns). The Xanth (pronounced Zanth) novels starting with History of Magic is the 1st in the series.
