Did you get your money?

The government checks have been going out at a rate of 800,000 per day. No checks are going out on Thursday but 5 million will go out on Friday. Have you received your check from the government?

Don't you think it is odd that a government would see a need to pass out money?

I dont know what to think ..... why would they give out money?

or we are so rich that we met quota, and the overflow is coming back to us? (haha...thats a good one!)

I am thinking that this is Bush's way of handing money over to the oil companies. He gives it to us and we put it into the gas tank. (Not you of course)

well... you know , the economy is going to suffer either way.
I mean think about it, if people cant afford gas they will cut costs...avoid buying that xtra "thing" thats not really needed.... etc.
If they still decide to spend (and they really cant afford it) they will only get in more debt.
Plus....how far can $300 really get you?
its a little boost but on a big vehicle it'll fill you up 2 1/2 times.
I think its time to turn in those gas hogs, and buy : "Mitsubishi , Honda , Kia , Toyota " and all the little rice burners out there.
Or better yet! horse and buggie....just like "little house on the prairie"
MAN! those Amish and Midnight (haha) dudes had it right from the start!

I have been riding my bicycle every day when it is warm enough.
Just rode it today to the other side of the lake.
The State campgrounds are empty this time of year and there is a huge state campground in Interlochen.
It is a perfect place for a bike ride.

BTW. You should be getting $600 in your government check.

The payments are... $600.00 per adult (guys... this means age, not how you all act) and $300.00 per child.

If you normally have the fed's "direct deposit" any tax refunds into your banking account, you may already have your $600... better check your account.

Last two SSN digits: Payments will be transmitted no later than:

00 through 20 May 2
21 through 75 May 9
76 through 99 May 16

If you don't use direct deposit:

Last two SSN digits: Payments will be mailed no later than:

00 through 09 May 16
10 through 18 May 23
19 through 25 May 30
26 through 38 June 6
39 through 51 June 13
52 through 63 June 20
64 through 75 June 27
76 through 87 July 4
88 through 99 July 11

The thing is that the $ has to be used to purchase "things" to help the economy at all. However, with so many people so far in debt already, the $ will probably go directly to the "big companies". There are millions of Americans that are a day or two away from having their utilities shut off, their car repossed, their home foreclosed on, etc.

As Mr. Admin said, who's gonna buy things.....?

Also, if any money is owed the Feds, they will offset the payment... so many, many people won't even see the $. Anyone owing payments on student loans, child support, back taxes, etc., will not get the money, it will be applied to their federal debt.

Ah.... America....
Home Sweet Home....
A Gronderful County....
It's Just the ECONOMY that SUCKS......

Applied to student debt?? What If my student loans are in deferment? Oh well...easy come, easy go.

BTW. I should also mention just for giggles. When the Soviet Union fell it was after they unsuccessfully invaded Afghanistan. Many people never expected the government of the mighty USSR to collapse. Many people were caught off guard. Could you imagine being a Soviet citizen one day and the next day not. What if that were to happen here? Could it happen?

Thank you Twisted for the information....
Now I know we have the right one.
No, what I was saying is that nobody is going to just go out and buy stuff because like you said people are in debt and they will use that to pay off bills and such, maybe a small percentage of that money will circulate...but the rest will be gone ever before getting it....
plus like you said, if you owe the feds (does that apply to state?) money... bye-bye ... you wont even get the chance to smell that money!
