Kirks poem
I sit and stare at the starry sky
The moon just a crest, but shining so bright I pull my knees up close to me And get lost in a dream of just you and me I feel you so close as I close my eyes As if this dream has just come alive I can feel the wind as it whispers in my ear Telling me now that you must be near The night air engulfs me much like your arms I know with you here I’m safe from all harm The light from the moon as it caresses my face Feels like tiny kisses that you gently place A star in the sky shining so bright Is the one that holds my dreams tonight It tells me what I already know That we share a feeling that will only grow
