Hey Luci, I watched this movie....I cannot believe that the Queen at first wanted nothing to do with Lady D's funeral.....let alone aknowledge and show the English people that they really cared!
Nice little history lesson! ![]() |

more on that...
If one steps in others shoes might see things differently. I don't know how royals are raised. But I can imagine strictly, letter of the law, traditional royal ways that are different from us(little people). Just think if normal people in the 50's were strict, prim and proper. What about everyday life of a royal especially when Elizabeth was growing up. If it wasn't for Diana and how she lived her life(more like us) perhaps Will and Harry would be the same. Living a strict, prim and proper life. Think of it this way, Elizabeth could never get use to Diana and probably never have dealt with a person like her before. However, still human after all they make mistakes. When we put people on pedistals(spelt wrong)and they fall. Whats the first thing we do. Belittle them and think bad things about them. People aren't Gods after all just human. But not only we (the little people)and the wealthy(or those who are on these pedistals think are). There were times or shots in the film you see them funtion like normal people.
Such as driving, setting the table(outside), hunting. Doing things for themselves. What do you think? ![]() |

Lady Di didn't let her stature make her live life any different. That's what the people grew to love about her....she was one of them. Part of Queen Elizabeth's problem with Di was that Di was for the people and not for the royalty.

yeah, I really liked Lady D..... I remeber watching the wedding on tv I believe I was 7 or 8 years old.... I remember everything was so ... "fairytale like".
Its crazy how all sorts of conspiracy theories surface after such a tragedy! The craziest?.... how the royal family plotted the whole thing.... to rid themselves of her! .....or is it? |
