Did you know the the Earth was once so warm you could swim at the poles? This was before the carbon in the atmosphere was encapsulated at the bottom of the sea. Volcanoes spewed carbon into the atmosphere. This caused global warming. The oceans were stagnate. The planet was very warm and lizards and bugs grew to enormous size.

The carbon was trapped by plant life and the plants eventually found their way to the bottom of the sea to form what has become our oil supply. Now we are burning the oil and re-releasing the carbon into the atmosphere.

I have been thinking about this. What if a race of humanoids developed during the time before the dinosaurs? What if they lived under the oceans and developed a complex society? Could they still be there?

I recently came across "Invisible Residents," by Ivan T Sanders. I haven't read it and I am not sure that I will. I just thought it was an interesting theory.

That would explain a lot don't you think?

Oh. So you think that spacemen actually travel across millions of light years to reach Planet Earth only to study us and remain unseen? Don't you think they would just land and introduce themselves?

Why would the government have an interest in covering it up? I think an Earthly explanation is much more plausible.

I am sure that if our astronauts were lucky enough to make it to another planet that supported life they would land and introduce themselves. We are sending out signals all the time hoping distant civilizations would pick up the transmission and respond. We are not afraid to make contact with other civilizations. Don't you ever watch Star trek?

Why are some regions of the world wealthy and some not?

Oil is a part of the answer but one of the main reasons historically is due to the availability of horses and cows and favorable farming conditions.

Consider South America. Do you think the Mayans were able to plow their fields with llamas? They probably dug everything by hand. Most of their time was spent farming and gathering. They didn't have horses, sheep, chickens, cows, etc...

Europeans were blessed with a good amount of natural wealth. This was before they started traveling and taking natural resources from other, less developed, countries.

The 8-5 work week is the result of labor wars that occurred in the U.S. The workers unionized and demanded a 40 hour work week.

The Europeans named everything in our culture. Many of your values and beliefs come from the language and brainwashing that has been passed down for hundreds, even thousands, of years.

Oh yeah. I almost forgot. Life IS a dream except for each and every moment that you experience it. The future and past only exists in our minds. The only reality is NOW.

Why are we here and what is life about? Think about the answer to that question. You are working to pay bills and retire so you can eventually get old peacefully and die.

Except......the future doesn't really exist. You are living your life based on your past experience and fear of the unknown and unseen future. Just because the sun came up yesterday doesn't mean it will come up tomorrow. The chances that it will are good but uncertain. We never really know what will happen until it happens. The media does a good job of scaring us into working for the man. They use language to make you think that you have to live a certain way or else you will suffer (unseen future).

You are a deadbeat if you don't pay your bills right? Did you know that Walt Disney filed for bankruptcy twice before he became successful? He, and many other successful people, realized that in order to become successful they had to live without fear.

You are hoping for a retirement from the State to carry you through until you die...What if you could become a billionaire instead? Wouldn't that be better?
