Gas Prices $$$

While fueling all I hear is: "cachiiiiiing, cachiiiiiing, cachiiiiiing" and no, its not the sound of the gallons filling up my vehicle!
Did you ever stop and look at the gas price vs. Gallons while pumping?
The Gallon digits are moving ever so slowly....when compared to the $$$ digits. I guess its time to look into hybrid models....
Good thing I dont drive a gas-guzzler!

My dad is a owner/operator, in the last year he has taken and changed his diesel trucks into oil trucks. On average he spends @$100 on a run to Tenessee by using refined oil, primarily vegetable oil from restarants, in his engines. Plus, he has started another business out of the whole deal. Currently though this modification can only be done to diesel engines, but it is cheaper by far.

1 gallon = 3.78 litres
3.78 litres x $1.12 (canadian) = $4.23 (canadian per gallon)
$1.10 (canadian) = $1.00 (USA)
$4.23 (canadian Gallon) / $1.10 (canadian exchange) = $3.84 Converted in USA price .

$3.84 (usa price their paying in Canada) - $3.25 (current USA price) = $0.59

Canada / USA price per Gallon difference = $0.59 (USA)
$0.59 (USA) = ~ $0.67 (canadian)
Canadians are paying ~$0.67 (C) more then Americans on 1 Gallon of fuel.

.......anybody have aspirin?

Why, Joe? Why do you torture yourself like that? I can think of several other things you could be doing other than worrying what the Canadiens are spending on fuel. For instance, on May 15th there is supposed to be a gas boycott happening.

Ok...the gas boycott that was suppose to happen on May 15th never happened, or if it did? had no impact at all.
New Record price of $3.65 per gallon!!!
Now What?

of course it didn't. Big business...oil companies...know that there can be a boycott on one day but on the day before or after they know that you're going to fill up again. Our dependecny is what drives the cost. When I was a manager I saw it back in 97...trust me the greed hasn't gone away yet.
